| I would like to list the names in my Entourage X Address Book by last name first. However, I cannot find any way to do this. Does anyone know how this can be done? Thanks |

The Address Book displays the names as FirstName LastName, but they are sorted in alphabetical order by LAST name, not first name. Click on the Name column and you'll see for yourself. Groups are another matter - they indeed are sorted by first name. Get Paul Berkowitz's script Group Sort X at http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/ It will sort all your groups alphabetically by last name. Whenever you add any new group members , run the script again on just that group - it's instantaneous when done that way. -- Diane Ross MVP Entourage (MVPs are volunteers) Entourage Help Page <http://www.entourage.mvps.org/> |

There is a way you can re-format it using the Nickname column, which is described in detail here: <http://www.entourage.mvps.org/faq/faqs.html#Anchor-147> However, this is not an ideal solution because then the "Name" field that appears on outgoing message only includes the last name, which can make it harder for you to distinguish contacts. -- Mickey Stevens (Microsoft MVP for Office:mac) PowerPoint FAQ featuring PowerPoint:mac: <http://www.pptfaq.com/> Entourage Help Page: <http://www.entourage.mvps.org/toc.html> |
