Menu bar on OS 10.3.9

Default Menu bar on OS 10.3.9

On OS 10.3.9 in the "menubar" under "go" is there a way to get rid of
"recent folders"

I have been in to the system preferences and in apperance it just
list's applications and documents.

In Recent Folders scroll down to "clear"

There is a 'clear' item in that menu.
So maybe you mean you want to remove the function from the menu, is
that it?

That is right! I don't want to have to clear it. I want to remove that
funtion all together. Is there a way to do that?
