You wouldn't know a good guitar company from a photo of a guitar.

Jim, for you to even make a comment like that shows what an idiot you
are. Nothing new there.

And uses the crappy WMA format that is causing lots of users trouble
with M$ DRM.

What qualifies you to make that judgement?

I doubt a music instrument maker is going to choose AAC because of the
harsh(fatiguing) sound it produces. No surprise there. They just
want a Gibson to sound like a Gibson.

Not much. He's obviously never held a guitar in his hands. I picture
Jim as being a player of "air guitar".

we're talking about the "fine guitar company" that, everytime it got
its claws into an electronics-related company, wound up burying it
because they didn't know what to do with it. Look what happened to both
Oberheim and Opcode after Gibson got through with them.

That doesn't make WMA and M$ DRM any better.

I happen to play a Martin Dreadnaught D-28 Herringbone, I have 1960's
vintage Guild and play a Gibson Lloyd Loar F-5 Fern mandolin. I play
Bluegrass every weekend and been on the Midnight Special.

What else would you like to know?

It's interesting that they mention Wurlitzer as a piano brand. I always
think of organs when I think "Wurlitzer". (Well, actually, if the word
"Wurlitzer" pops into my mind out of nowhere, I first think "Am I having a
stroke!?"...but after that, I think "organs". :-))

I would like to know why you can't spell DREADNOUGHT correctly if you
really had one. I am very familiar with the D-28. I have had one
along with a D-35 for years.

A respected instrument maker evaluated all formats and chose WMA. I wonder
why?

They did? Really? So you were part of the engineering and decision making
portion of the product?

Dreadnaught is the British spelling of the word, there, Mr. Stoolsample,
and is quite correct. Notice that Mr. Polaski is posting from BERLIN?
You did notice that, did you not Stoolie?

Wrong. Dreadnought is the correct spelling when used for Guitars.

Realistically, what's the difference? I know guys that can pick the shit
out of a guitar and can barely read, let alone spell Dreadnought
correctly I had a D-28 for about 25 years...and though I didn't really
look for it, I don't recall seeing the word printed on it anywhere. Is
it on either of your Martins? If so, what years are they?

So what. It's *playing* that counts.
Care to keep up with me on Black Mountain Rag? How about Whisky Before
Breakfast, Down Yonder or Bill Cheatam?

It is not printed anywhere on the guitar. Dreadnought simply refers to
large bodied guitars.
