| My G4 desktop won't turn on. Pressing the power button has no effect. I checked cords and power strips. I have not tried a new cord. The box is in a cabinet and a tight squeeze to get in there. Is there a circuit breaker internally? Or some magic button I can push? If it comes to it, what do I look for in a hard drive case? So many questions, so little information -- Dear Santa, All I want for Chriatmas is your list of naughty girls Bobert |

I think there are decent odds that the PRAM battery has died, and Macs don't like to start in that condition. They can usually be made to but it's not something you want to make part of your normal usage pattern. -- The best intentions in the world don't make a flawed argument magically valid. |
