Default Router question

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help me. Upstairs, I have a Netgear WGR614 v6
wireless router which has my internet connection and an engin phone
attached to it.

I also have an old graphite Apple Base Station not doing anything.

I am wondering if it is possible to plug in the base station downstairs
and plug the engin phone into it so that I don't have to run upstairs
whenever the phone rings.

This may not be technically possible. I realise the two routers would
need to firstly talk to each other.

Any help would be appreciated.

TIA,

Danny Parker

Why not just buy a cordless phone?
