I ask because I did not post it to Google. I posted it to a USENET news group
using a news application. Do you see where I am going?

Honestly, USENET does not interest me AT ALL.
It is a dying concept because of it's outdated concepts like "rules"
and jargon. The "rules" only apply when it concerns "old and
extablished members" but not when newer posters try to enter the Group.
The jargom is completely irrelent to modern internet Groups.
I am happy with GOOGLE as is. Later ? NO junk mail- should not say that
too quickly !
Some trouble with "smarties" in the group corrupting my System but have
placed this in "secured" area. Again, we await "smartie hackers attack
"

Tim, I think you can take that as a resounding "NO!" to answer your
question, he didn't see where you're going. I could almost hear the
whooshing sound from here as it went right over his head.

Err, you are aware that Google Groups and USENET are one and the same
thing? I only ask because you've been told this ad nauseam

By rules I'm presuming you're referring to netiquette, which is really
nothing more than good manners. Jargon is merely the technical language
of a profession or trade - nothing new here - and, frankly, inevitable
with any discussion on computing. If you can't talk the talk, you won't
be able to walk the walk.

The only person likely to have corrupted your "System" is you. Perhaps
you need to learn more jargon?

Um, no, that's not the case at all, and that's _not_ what we've told him
ad nauseum.

It is for me. Be a dear and please don't change the subject line if you
insist on dancing for the puppetteer.

Yeah. I tried one more time, even stayed civil. I was about to hit send on
another post then thought better. Why prolong the agony? It has been an
amazing ride.

I'm with you, Ernie. I wish all these "smarties" and old folks would
just go away so you can help me figure all of this GOOGLE and jargon
stuff out.
I am really confused.

Please take your coat and head for the door. There are enough trolls

Troll? TROLL?? I reiterate a point made in a previous thread, to which
I provide a citation, and you have the unmitigated gall to call me
troll? Do try and get a clue, dear boy :)
Still, irony is a delicate art - I could see how it could sail right
over your head.

Ernie, no one is "corrupting [your] System," that's pretty much
impossible. On the other hand, if you've poured the Smarties into your
power supply, that may well corrupt your SYTSEM.
All your SYTSEM are belong to us, Ern, me True Blue lad.

I honestly don't know what you're trying to say by providing this URL,
but it remains that Usenet and Google Groups are _NOT_ "one and the same
thing."
