Actually I said a PC with two fans... And you guys do mock them as
running hot. Are you going to pull your infamous 'I don't recall that
ever being said' trick again, ZnU?
But Apple chucks 9 (nine!) fans into a case and suddenly its a
hallmark of sophistication. I easily can see Maccies bragging to each
other about how many more fans they've added.
You guys have no idea how transparent you are do you? 8)

I was going to say merely, "Oh, no, not another one!" But then I saw

I recall heat-related complaints mostly referencing power consumption,
not fan count -- except in comparison with Apple's fanless machines, of
course. The G5 still has lower power consumption, but sticking two of
them in a case is no joke.

That's a very silly mischaracterization. Simply having lots of fans is
not a hallmark of sophistication, and nobody has ever tried to claim it
is.
