I've seen PCs with dynamic fan speed adjustment, in fact I think you
can buy these fans in kit form--plus, graphic cards now use them. But
since I don't know of a PC with NINE fans I can't really answer your
question.

When it was stated in this newsgroup that these fans probably ran slow
in order to be reasonably quiet, I recall some mindless Mac zealot
challenging this obvious point, but I don't remember who. This is
confirmation that he was wrong, at any rate.

Oh, and "engineered...fans to spin at very low speeds". Yeah, sounds
great. It means, "we ran them slower and they made less noise".
Which is the case with all quiet fans. By the way fans are much less
effective the slower their speed. I hope no one here needs to be told
this but you never know.
