Try this,

http://www.jeangabi.com/

Just tried it on a known route, and it works fine.

There was a script or something to do this to Multimap iirc on the group
a while back, still got it lurking I think somewhere for future ref I
think

yep, one of Martins...

"Yeah, use my MapGetter script that you can download from here:

http://inside.rgb2cmyk.com/applescript/MapFinder.sit

The address must have a postcode to work and you need to be using
Panther.

Put the script in the following folder:

~/Library/Address Book Plug-Ins/

Restart Address Book and then control-click the address that you'd like
a map of. A contextual menu will pop-up and you'll see the name of the
script.

It uses MultiMap instead of Mapquest.

Unfortunately this link is broken - on account of two blokes breaking in
to our studio last Tuesday and nicking the file server and a bunch of
other stuff :-(

Fortunately, they didn't take the drives that backed up all of the
proper work that we do, but the scripts haven't been restored yet.

In the meantime there is a version that can be downloaded from here:

Ok. So you know you need a fireproof safe or off-site copies now don't you?

Sorry to patronise....

Yeah, I was slightly peeved.

Especially as they also trashed another G4 that handled all of our
routing and nicked a G4 laptop.

They used a car jack to break through our window bars and used carpet to
protect themselves from the glass after smashing through the window.

We had a 4-day-old Epson 9600 under the window which they climbed over
to get in and out. Surprisingly it still works, although it took me 2
hours to get the shards of glass out of it.

The engineers have written it off as glass may eventually make its way
through to the print heads. The insurers arranged for a new one to be
delivered in 48 hours - so I've now got two of the things sitting either
side of our original Epson 10000.

If anybody needs any posters...

ROTFL - we've got a fireproof safe, but we've forgotten the combination!

we don't bother backing up :(

Hope you get back up to speed quickly and catch the scum. Might be worth

Worth talking to Apple too, they'll stick a note on the system that
those serial numbers are stolen and if anyone contacts them they'll
inform you/police.

Now if Apples phone home on boot service [1] actually sent them a little
more info (like an IP address) it might actually be worthwhile it doing
it.

[1] Don't know why but on log in they send a request to mac.idisk.com or
something similar.

Hmmm.

There would be cries of "Big Brother", but...

Hmmm.

Yes well I'm sure the IP does get transmitted but Apple don't record it,
bearing in mind nearly every web server you visit will store your IP,
when you first install your machine it registers the serial number etc
with Apple, combining the IP with that wouldn't be that much big
brother. If they did, I'd have a few more details of the little shits
that knicked one of ours and re-installed it 3 days later, which Apple
knew as it did the phone home, however they were clever enough to leave
all the name and address spaces etc blank. Damn why couldn't a stupid
theif pinch it.
