View Full Version : Internet Explore Jams Upon Startup

I am using Mac OS X.2 on a Dual Processor G4.
Every time I launch Internet Explorer, it says "Internet Explorer has
unnexpectidly quit. The system and other applications were not
affected."
I have deleted the program, and reinstalled it many times, I also
restored the software that is included with OS X, which should include
Internet Explorer.
What should I do?
Thank you very much for any help,
Steven S.

I deleted

But could not find:

I attempted to reinstall IE again, and had the same problem as listed above.
Any ideas?
Thank you!

It's there. Simply go to Go -> Home, open Library/Preferences/Explorer, and
locate the "History.html" file.

Check Software Update to ensure you have the latest Internet Explorer and OS
updates.
Try repairing permissions.
For OS 10.2.x:
Go to Macintosh HD/Applications/Utilities. Open up Disk Utility. Select
your hard disk, then click the First Aid tab. Click the button to "Repair
Disk Permissions".
For OS 10.1.5:
Download the Repair Privileges utility, free from Apple, and run it:
<http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106900>
Run Disk First Aid. Instructions on how to run it in OS X are located on
the Apple Knowledge Base.

I own a G4 E-Mac, as of Saturday July 12 am having the same
problem. I've reinstalled Explorer and still get the same
result. Sorry I can't help you.

I tried restarting in Safe Mode, and I'm having the same problem.
