How do I prevent IE 5.2.3 from truncating my filenames when I download
them? It seems like Mac-IE still truncates filenames at 32
characters. As a result, my supporting applications are not
recognizing the file type. I have to download files to my desktop. I
then manually change the filename and add the proper extension to the
filename. After that, I can open the file in the appropriate
application. Mac OS X supports 255 character filenames. Is it just
that Office X does not?

Thanks,
Steve

I believe it's a limitation imposed by IE, and I don't think there's a
workaround as such. You're not the only one to find this annoying.
