I run on PCs at home, but at church I need to do
PowerPoint on a Mac (with a projector on a big screen).
It's at least a 10.2.x OS - nice machine and all. But it
doesn't play my .AVI file in PowerPoint like I need it
to. It just shows it as a still graphic. I can't go
outside PowerPoint to play it 'cause it's in a looping
show (loop 'til Esc is pressed). Could somebody help me?
Thanks!

Try resaving your sound file as an MP3 file (if
possible). There are several other file formats that the
PowerPoint Help file indicates that PPT for Mac can play.
These include AIF, MOV, SFIL (Apple system sound), RSRC,
MIDI, so forth. I don't see AVI listed as one of the
compatible sound files.
