Nina Storm.

If the background image is not physically placed on the slide master...it
will not print. e.g. can you select the graphic on the slide master?

If you cannot select it, then the image is probably added to the
presentation via "format>background>fill effects>picture".
So put the image on the slide master to fix the problem.

The other thing it could be is.....it's a black and white printer....and the
image has been set not to print via the "black and white" setting on the
View menu. Right click the image and choose "automatic" to fix this.

I could select it, this was not the issue.

No, it is a Canon ps colour printer.
It must be due to the printersettings. I still don't know which causes
the problem. Headlines and pictures comes out in colours all right.
