Hi Hernan,

Instead of double-clicking, access the files from File>Open in Word X and
you won't have any problem.

Thanks,
That works great, however I am looking for a way to open many files.
Is there a reason for this? Why would the association get lost?
How can the files be reassociated?

Thanks for any other help you can provide.

Hernan

Choose a file. File > Get Info > Open with. Choose Word then check
"change all" to make it default. That should do it.

Do you see the Word icon on the closed document or is it blank? If
you don't see it, it could mean that you have to rebuild your desktop.
