Hi,

My Microsoft Word for OSX has just started to take about 10 seconds longer
to launch. The blank document pops up but it won't allow you to type for 10
seconds.

Does anyone know what may be causing this?

What is the url to the Mac for office resource site? I visited it about 6
months ago but failed to bookmark it. It included scripts.

I had the same problem, although it was taking as long as 5mins for
Word to launch.
I trashed 'Word Font Substitutes' and the 'Word settings' from the
Microsoft preferences and everthing seems hunky-dory now.

I would also add the Carbon Registration Database to the list. The frist
launch will then take longer since the database of Office apps will ahve
to be rebuilt then, but it usually helps a lot.
