Hey gang-

I've noticed that Word lags badly when typing. I'm not even an
especially fast typist, but I easily out-type Word. This is maddeningly
hard to follow and leads to lots of errors.

I have an 800mhz G4 iMac/512mb with Office v.X and the Office 10.1.2
update. I'm running OS 10.2.6. I notice no such problem in AppleWorks,
BBEdit, etc. What can be done to fix this? Thanks!

found this thread which may have some suggestions - you don't say
how bad the lag is, but "lags badly" is unusual for a machine with
the horsepower of yours:
