Someone sent me an important document in Microsoft Works (I believe)
and the extension is .wps, but it won't open in Word OSX. I'll try
now in Word98 but is there a patch or filter?

thanks
enzo

Hi Enzo:

Works is .wks

I think what you have there is a Word Perfect Secondary File (.wps).

In which case, it's the source data list for a mail merge in WordPerfect. I
seem to remember that Word's Mail Merge facility would import them, and may
make the file readable to you.

Cheers
