MacOSX 10.2.8, Messenger 2.1
Firewall is off in System Prefs.

Cannot log in with my .Net name (and it works fine at MSN.com). I always get
this message: 'Sign in to MSN failed because service not available or you're
not connected to the internet.'

I am connected, using cable. I do not use any Proxies. I do use an SMTP
relay (thru my cable provider) to send email. I don't know if any of this
matters anyway, but I have never been able to get Messenger to work on any
network I've connected to (using an iBook).

Thanks

Messenger 2.1 is an outdated version which no longer works - you need
to download the current version (3.5.1) to get onto MSN.
