Does anyone know how to stop MSN messenger automatically opening up at start
up. Every time I use it, it puts an icon in the startup apps folder.. very
annoying.
Any help would be great!

You have to change Messenger's preferences. Open the preferences dialog
box and turn of the "helpful" option to "Run this program when I start
my computer".

If you don't turn that off, Messenger will put an item in your Login
Items every time.

Yes. Itıs simple and easy.

While in the MSN Messenger application.
Go to Preference and check off ³Run this program when I start the computer²
