Would someone, out there, know how to solve this problem??

Normally, when I've made a circular text path, the lettering 'attaches' at
the baseline to the outside of the circle. What I'm attempting to do, simple
as it sounds, is to attach the baseline of the text to the INSIDE of the
circular path (so that the top of the text points inward as opposed to
outward).

Can someone help with a solution to this??? Thanks in advance (bigtime!).

I know there's a simple way. I'm not at my Mac, so I can give you
Windows instructions that should be very similar. Create you text
along the path. Then select it using the Direct Selection Tool. A blue
line should show up at the beginning of your text string. Drag this
line toward the inside of the circle.
