Was that you posting on macfixit about systems running on a G-5?
I am getting a new iMac G-5 and want to have a disk partition loaded
just like I have it on my G-3 running 10.2.6. All moved over via Fire
wire.
Are you saying that the G-5 will not boot into 10.2.6?

That's correct. An iMac G5 will not boot into 10.2.6; it requires a special
version of 10.3.5, which ships with it.
The installer CD/DVD that ships with an iMac G5 will not install on any other
model of Mac, and an iMac G5 will not boot using any other (current) version of
OS X. So 10.2.anything is out; sorry!
