When I click an ftp link in Safari, it launches MSIE.
How do I tell it to launch Fetch?

TIA

Great - MSIE is the gui for OSX's internet protocol binding.

Ta.

Yep it is.

Yeah way cool. But all that does is change yer default web browser,
which I'd already set to Safari. I wanted to change the default FTP
application but the only way I've found to do that is firing up IE and
setting Preferences - Protocol Helpers.

Ta. Still seems odd that there isn't some Apple gui for the protocol
binding, but I guess the existence of this extra PrefPane confirms that
there isn't one I just haven't found yet.

Its not just the apple gui that is missing, its the whole protocol helper
thing - that tool works by saving it in IEs data files.

Seems a bit of a glaring omission but I guess they were in a hurry and
though - ah, you can do that in IE, we won't bother yet.
Anyway, that preference pane does the job well enough and I would rather use
that then use IE.

Anyone?

Haven't spotted it anywhere
