Chances are your friend is also in the UK. Why doesn't he (I'll assume it
isn't a she) drink cider? Is it not readily available on tap in the pubs in
his area? Okay, it doesn't have a head. But quickly drinking it down a bit
and it won't be so obvious.

Its a she; hence the "cow" reference. If it was a he he would have been
a.... Not sure, probably a cretin, a meathead or prick.

Offensive words I know, but when someone is looking at having a operation to
remove part of their gut if they don't change, I think the word is
justified.

And I've suggested wine, cider, anything that isn't grain based. At one
point she moved to vodka, which wasn't exactly bright. I despair sometimes.

Being someone who really liked his beer, I had my last beer 11 years ago,
new years eve. One bottle of Becks. Woke up with a 10 pint hangover. I got
the message. And I don't even have a big problem. It makes you realise how
pointless the "smoking kills" signs are.
