What CPU? What sort of Fortran? IBM compilers have traditionally been
excellent (since they contains lots of good Canadian expertise), but it
is early days to know if that carries over to OSX.

You might want to check the group archives via groups.google.com.
There was some discussion a few months back concering various fortran
options.
