View Full Version : Powerbook 100 questions

Just got an old Powerbook 100. Nice machine, but I have a couple of
questions I hope someone can answer (I've already checked the PB100
FAQ)

There is a circular light spot on the screen opposite the trackball,
it looks like pressure from the trackball has caused this problem, is
this common, and can it be fixed?

My main battery is shot: do the NiCads such as sold by e-batts work
and charge fully, and what battery life can I expect from them?

I've tried to join the PB100 mailing list at Stanford, but don't seem
to be able to subscribe, is the list closed? Is there an archive?

Anyone have any pointers to original reviews or ads for this machine?

TIA

Steve

I have a PB 100 as well!

The mark you describe sounds like it is what you say. Mine does not have
a mark so i don;t know if it is cleanable.

I purchased a battery a coupe of years ago and like the original they
are not great. even new, the most I ever got out of the PB100 was a
couple hours.
