Just surfed Ebay for new DVD's and overwhelmed with number of choices and
prices. Brands ranges from Sony, Memorex, Phillips, etc. at about $1-2
per DVD purchased in 50 or 100 size to about 60 cents for Ritek and
Beall. Naturally they list that not all disks work on all machines, and
list specific products and types of media (DVD-R DVD-RW). This would be
for a G4 wishing to burn home movies. Unable to locate any solid reviews
of these products. Should I go with the better known brands and pay more
or take advantage of what seem like great prices? After all, I'm willing
to pay more to avoid problems and have longevity. Thanks! /Greg

I have tried several brands and found Pioneer to be the most reliable
among the ones I have tried. But I still get some bad burns
occasionally, so I bought some Pioneer DVD-RW media. I do my first burn
to one of those, test it on a couple of DVD players and, if it is a
good burn, I use Toast to copy it to DVD-R media.
