I have an Apple wired remote for the previous-generation iPods that I
don't need anymore. (Have a new-style iPod, and the remote connector
has changed.)
I'll never use it again, but it seems a shame to chuck it. It'll work
with any of the iPods with the single round heaphone-and-remote
connector. (If your iPod has a second, oval-shaped plug, yours is the
new style and this won't work.)
I'll drop it in the mail to the first person who e-mails me his postal
address. (US addresses only, please -- since it's a freebie, I don't
want to go hog-wild on postage. Thanks.)
Most recent iPods come with remotes anyway, but if you have an original
5GB iPod, it makes a nice addition. (I bought it as a kit which also
replaced the headphones.)
Seems silly to throw it out; it's in good shape and works perfectly.
