Hi,

I am trying to get a G4 to talk to a PowerMac 7200. Did the ethernet
cable conncetion, did the steps requested on the PowerMac 7200. But no
sharing. Can anyone walk me through this? Want to be able to print to
a Silentwriter 95 when through.

Thanks in advance.

What do you mean when you say "did the steps requested?" What was doing
the requesting? And what were the actual steps?

Try this page:

It's a bit dated, but really fairly little has changed except the
location of some of the settings.

to the the best of my knowledge Turn on file sharing on both macs. Then
on the 7200 mac set the TCP/IP pannel to use DCHP and to connect use
the either net port. THen go and turn on apple talk and have that set
to use the either net port too. on the G4 turn apple talk on and that
sould be it. I know you will be able to at lest do file sharing between
the two.

This is the same set up on my system. I have a G4 and an older supermac
the only thing is I can't get them both on the interent at once :(
good luck
